Chicks with Sticks Game!!

The day dragged on..... it seemed like time had just come to a screeching stop, which is a good thing I guess. Tiffany woke up and wanted to make all the kids a t-shirt and of course I forgot that I said I would bake something for the bake sale.
However both things turned out great. Tiffany’s t-shirts were a hit and my sister Donna pulled through with some cookies, because I burned the muffins I baked. (Not unusual!)

As most games start with the Muylle’s, we had to tailgate. The family did great. Lots of food and a perfect parking spot. The kids were able to play in the field and we were out of traffic. Dawn strolled in with lots of time and tried to get a bite to eat. On our way in to the locker room the coach put a halt to Dawn’s dinner. “Stop don’t take another bite!” he yells. “You will throw up!”. She at least got half of it down. (Poor girl was starving.)

Game time is approaching and nerves are being tested. Poor poor Sheri Verzinksi tossed her cookies before the game. Then there was Julie Lindsay that had a small travel pillow in her hockey shorts to protect her butt in which has not one ounce of fat on it. Boy it was a good thing as it saved her twice as her butt hit the ice hard.

Game time
We make our line up order and are waiting by the door to enter the ice. The buzzer sounds and Jacqui Alfano and I enter the ice..... only to find noone else in sight. Of course it was not time to go, so off the ice we go to wait for the correct time. What a goof ball I am, we talked about it before hand, “Wait for your name” they said. (Whatever, I just want the game to start.)

After they announce all 40 women, sang the National Anthem and a 3 minute warmup “it’s game time”.

What a fun game!

In the first period the other team scored. It was like slow motion I could not get my hand over that slow moving puck. Their goalie was strong and stopped us every time.

Second period I was busy as I stopped everything. I had a kick save and one went off my facemask. I was not the only busy one as Cathy Drake scored our first goal and Leann Dyer poked in the second. At the end of the second period it was 2-1.

There was a lot of time between the second and third period, we were all getting nervous. My body was starting to get tight, my feet were hurting.

We could tell that the other team was putting out a strong line. We quickly changed up our lines so we had even lines. Jessica Feldotte had a great shot as it rang the post. (What a bummer!) Jill Schmidt is one of our defenseman and she had a great diving save in front of me and took down Amy Parrent (We call her pink laces.) Finally Poppy Blasch had a great pass from none other than Dawn Papesh and put one in their net to make the final score 3-1.(Great Assist Mrs. P)

Yeehaa WE WON!!!!!!!

I can’t wait until next year, to do this all over again.

I just want to thank my whole family for coming to cheer me on! I hope everyone had a great time!

Great Niece Turns 1!!

I can't believe it was a year ago we were waiting for the arrival of Addison!
Mom we missed you and hope you in joy the party through this blog.

As we arrived at my Sister Jody's (She is a Grandmother) house there is the chatter of children everywhere. Jody seem to be the best entertainer in our family. There were enough presents for several children. We had to have Addison open them in batches.
It was great fun to see her enjoy her gifts as well as Amanda (Addison's mother)

CAKE TIME

They covered the floor with plastic and gave Addy her own cake. The plastic was no help, she through cake everywhere. She even got her mother across the face. All the children thought that it was unfair that she got the throw her food!

It was nice to have the family together. I had everyone but Taylor, who never seems to want to go with us anymore. However he did let me cut his hair and he is handsome again.
OH OK, Back to the party.

The food was good as always. Which brings us to Jan. (My Pregnant sister) Every time I turned around she had a sloppy joe. (This has nothing to do with the pregnancy, this is Jan!)

It was a great day and we missed you Grandma and Grandpa Brethauer!

Radio News

Just filling you all in on some strange events I've had over the past month.

I pick my children up from school 4 days a week. I pick Taylor up first from Heritage, then we go to White Pine to get Tiffany. Taylor and I have to wait about 20 minutes in the car before Tiffany gets out of school. While waiting, we of course listen to the radio. During this time everyday the DJ's ask a question and listeners call in with their answers. Over the past 3 years we have tried to win various prizes by calling in to the station with our answers. Seems we either know the answer and cannot get in, or get through, but have the incorrect answer. However about 2 weeks ago we knew the answer and the first time I dialed I got through. (We won!) We got 4 tickets to any movie of our choice.

Then this past Tuesday while taking Tiffany to school, we heard about a contest on the same radio station. For this contest, you had to call in and be the correct caller number when you heard them play Simon from American Idol. I dropped her off at school and headed off to work. While on my way work I was listening to Cd's. While taking out a Cd and putting in another, I heard Simon being played. So I dialed the station number and I got through. I won a Breakfast Meet and Greet with Blake Lewis.

For those of you that don't know, Blake Lewis was the runner up from the sixth season of American Idol. He was the beat boxer.
Tiffany and I went and had a good time. There were some strange people there. Tiffany got a picture from the radio station and Blake signed it. He was tired from the travel and was talking on air for an hour before the breakfast so there was not a lot of talking. One of the lady's had him sign a tattoo on her leg and she would not put her leg down so the kids that were there couldn't get close to Blake. What a nut!
Tiffany has a friend that is a crazed fan of Blake's and she must have text Tiff about 50 times while we were there. She was soo excited and she was not even there. I had my picture autographed to this young crazy girl (Karly with a K). What a good time.

Then today on my way to get the kids from school on 98.1 I here:

Radio: who's this?
Caller: Steve Muylle
Radio: You Just won $1,000.00

My oldest wins cash! How great is that!

That has been our Radio life for the last few weeks!

Bay City Times

I thought I would scan in the Bay City Times for all us Hockey die hards. The Bay City Times on line did not include the important stuff, like pictures.
